Summer Capital of the Philippines – Baguio City

Seeing your younger sister who is graduating is really such a proud moment for me and my parents. As a graduation gift, I treated her to a trip to Baguio with our elder sister. It was their first time riding an airplane, so I guess they enjoyed it.

It was a crazy adventure for us because it was the holiday season, and we expected that there would be many people that would be travelling or going home to their province. The struggle was real when we looked for a bus going to Baguio from the Cubao bus terminal. Other buses were fully booked. It was late in the afternoon when we arrived at Cubao terminal, and the operator told us that the bus going to Baguio would be available at 8:00 o’clock in the evening. We were shocked and tried to find another terminal that had an earlier trip. Fortunately, while we were discussing other plans, someone approached us and offered us a ride at a low cost.We immediately grabbed it and took the ride.

As I mostly travel alone, I should say that traveling with your siblings is really amazing and extra fun. Manila to Baguio is a very long drive, about 5–6 hours, or sometimes it will reach 7 hours. It is a good thing that I had my sisters with me, so I did not get bored during the trip. Thanks to them.

When we arrived in Baguio City, it was already 2:00 AM and very cold. We still needed to find a place to stay, but luckily, someone offered us again a transient room for a very affordable price. You don’t need to worry in Baguio because most of the houses there are transient houses. We decided to rest because it was late and we were tired from the journey, and we would only have a long day tour the next day.

When we woke up and finished our breakfast, we decided to just roam around the city by just walking. The pictures below make our journey very memorable. Even though the season that we visited is not the season of strawberries, we still enjoyed the temperature and the captivating views of Baguio City.

You only have one life, so spend it with your siblings. You will get to enjoy and explore the beauty of the place with the people that you truly love. To share those happiness and moments with them is an accomplishment.
